Left Handed TaylorMade Golf: R11 Driver vs R11 Irons

As we all know, Taylormade has released right handed and left handed r11 combo set. And left handed TaylorMade R11 Combo Set include left handed R11 Driver , left handed R11 Irons, left handed R11 Fairway Wood and left handed R11 Rescue Hybrid. But here I just want to talk about left handed R11 Driver and left handed R11 Irons.

The left handed Taylormade R11 Driver is designed with a new, modern-classical clubhead shape intended to suit the eye of better players, while still providing forgiveness and confidence for average players.

Altogether, the combination of ASP, FCT and MWT gives golfers 48 ways to set up the TaylorMade R11 Driver to promote up to 100 yards of side-to-side trajectory adjustment, the most of any driver in existence. Combining full FCT and MWT settings promotes a launch-condition range of 2° launch angle. The FCT system is extremely sleek and streamlined, resulting in less mass and a lower clubhead CG location compared to hosel adjustability systems in competitive drivers.

Taylormade utilizes its inverted cone technology to expand the sweet area reducing overall loss on off center hits. The multifunctional sole is versatile and made to excel in any lie. The new R11 has traditional lofts with a 27.5* 5 iron and is considered between mid and compact size with less offset.

The new left handed taylormade r11 irons is tuned to perfection. Precision CG placements, ultra-thin faces, a tour sole design and Inverted Cone Technology make R11 our most powerful, playable and refined iron ever.

Left Handed TaylorMade R11 irons Features:
>> Ultra-thin face thickness promotes faster ball speed and distance.
>> Inverted Cone Technology promotes faster ball speed and distance on off-center hits.
>> Advanced groove design promotes increased spin and control.
>> Multi-Functional sole increases playability from a variety of lies.
>> Progressive topline thickness promotes confidence at address throughout the TaylorMade R11 iron set.

At the moment I can’t personally speak to the overall performance of them, because I’ve only hit it indoors at the TaylorMade Performance Lab a few times and haven’t taken my own one home yet, but what I can tell you, is that it produces a mouth watering sound at impact and possesses a great feel.

To advance, Tiger needs to improve

MARANA, Ariz. — On Wednesday, Tiger Woods gave a laborious demonstration of why he hasn’t won an official professional event in two and a half years. In a 1-up victory over Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano in the first round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, the 36-year-old 14-time major winner drove the ball erratically and missed makeable putts.

At times he looked like the Tiger of old — a 52-foot birdie putt on the 7th hole — and at other times he acted the part of a struggling midcareer player confused by the greens and the altitude at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Dove Mountain.

It was an ugly, mediocre match made watchable only because the former No. 1 player in the world was one of the contestants.

“Neither one of us had our best stuff today,” Tiger said. “So consequently the match went back and forth. We both made our share of mistakes, but somehow I was able to move on.”

To win his fourth Match Play Championship, Tiger has to win five more matches. That’s five players he has to beat who won’t be intimidated by the man with 71 career wins.

His next opponent, Nick Watney, probably will play better than the Spaniard, who jumped out to an early 2-up lead Wednesday. Tiger will have to shoot better than the 1-over-par 73 he would have had if this tournament were a stroke-play event. In his second-round match with Watney, Tiger’s two drives that found the desert could cost him the match.

On Monday, Fernandez-Castano had called Tiger beatable, and by Wednesday evening, he could have proudly said about Tiger what ex-NFL coach Dennis Green once famously declared after his Arizona Cardinals lost to the Chicago Bears.

Great Review: TaylorMade Ladies RocketBallz Driver

TaylorMade RocketBallz Driver is fitted with a lightweight Matrix XCON 5 graphite shaft which helps to increase swing speed, contributing to the impresive distance achieved by the club.

The company’s tag line for their RocketBallz driver is “brace yourself” – because, apparently, you’ll be simply awe struck by the extreme distance you’re likely to gain. This white crown had its detractors when first introduced, but I think it’s save to say that the design has proven to be effective.

The driver also uses TaylorMade’s Flight Control Technology (FCT), allowing you to optimize your ball flight by selecting one of eight different settings that adjust the club head’s face, loft and lie angles. According to TaylorMade, this feature allows for a range of different launch conditions that promote up to 60 yards of side-to-side trajectory adjustment. We love the control this technology gives golfers – if you have a tendency to slice your shots for instance, the FCT system will most certainly help.

I personally love the color of the new RocketBallz driver.  The color is the same “white” color as the R11 driver, but has accents of lime green on it.  Also, on the side of the club, the name “RocketBallz” is printed.  The club is flashy but still maintains a purpose.  The white color helps you when you are addressing the ball.  The color helps you align yourself with the shot your about to hit.  Also, the club is easier to see and align on cloudy overcast days or if your tee box is shaded.

Overall, I have always considered myself a Taylormade guy, like some of you might already know. Frankly, this Taylormade rbz Driver is truly an awesome driver. It looks great, sounds great, and produces immense power off the club face, giving you high speeds and great distance.

Kruger wins Avantha Masters for first European Tour title

NEW DELHI (AP) – Jbe Kruger of South Africa won his first European Tour title Sunday, protecting his overnight lead by shooting a 3-under 69 for a two-shot victory at the Avantha Masters.

The 25-year-old Kruger made four birdies and overcame a bogey on the 17th to finish 14-under 274.

Jorge Campillo of Spain and Marcel Siem of Germany were two shots back in a tie for second.

Jose Manuel Lara of Spain and Australian Marcus Fraser finished joint fourth at 11 under.

Kruger finished second on the Asian Tour three times in 2010, while his best previous result on the European Tour was third at the Africa Open the same year.

His best on this year’s European Tour has been ninth at the Joburg Open in South Africa.

Is HiBore XLS Driver the Cleveland’s Best Golf?

I believe, those who play golf for a long time know the fact that the Cleveland HiBORE XLS is the third generation in the HiBORE line.

The Cleveland HiBore XLS Driver is a unique looking golf club. Not only is the head on this Driver one of the biggest ever made by Cleveland, it’s one of the biggest on the market just now from any manufactuer. While it definitely wasn’t the worst we have ever heard, the sound at impact of the HiBore XLS certainly is something that may put some players off the club.

The design of this club is intended to give players a larger sweet spot to work with, and thus make it easier to launch straight and powerful drives. The lofts available on the HiBore XLS Driver are 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5 degrees. All are available in right hand whereas only the 9.5 and 10.5 degree versions are available in left hand.

When I first started hitting the HiBORE XLS, my normal swing did not get along very well with it. Though the standard XLS is supposed to have a square clubface, it feels closed. My swing closed the face even more, delofting the 9.5° face to 7 or 8°. Suffice it to say that, at first, all I could hit were right-to-left-moving bullets that reached a maximum height of about 20 feet.

So I temporarily changed my swing to fit what the driver seemed to want to do. I purposely came over the top and held off my finish a bit. The ball started going straight and gaining the typical height of my drives. Distance was average, with the rare zinger mixed in there.

In conclusion, The HiBORE XLS Driver is a huge improvement over the original HiBORE. Its forgiving nature and good distance are likely to keep you in the fairway more than your current driver. Those who naturally draw the ball or who want to work the ball off the tee should look to the driver.

Phil Mickelson gets best of Tiger Woods

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — That was fun, wasn’t it? Maybe not for Tiger Woods. Well, absolutely not for Tiger, who couldn’t get off the Monterey Peninsula fast enough and might not be back at Pebble Beach until the 2019 U.S. Open.

But big picture, the Tiger-Phil dynamic, is as good as any 17-Mile Drive vista. Phil Mickelson more than lived up to his end Sunday during the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach National, Woods did not.

Just having them in the same group — even if the amateurs were an unsightly nuisance during the final round — was a welcome occurrence, one not to be taken for granted.

For a generation-plus, they have been the face of golf, combining to win 111 PGA Tour events and 18 major championships. They were grouped again on Sunday, for the 30th time in their careers, and while it wasn’t a duel like they had at Doral back in 2005 or perhaps the 2009 Masters, it was compelling nonetheless.

Few saw this kind of drubbing coming, Mickelson waxing Woods by 11 strokes, 64 to 75, and cruising to his 40th career PGA Tour title to move into ninth-place all time, ahead of Tom Watson and Cary Middlecoff.

Mickelson came from six strokes back to win by three. He had the lowest score of the day by three shots. He didn’t make a bogey and twice made long putts to save par.

“He has so much respect for Tiger, as obviously everybody out here does. He’s close with Joe [LaCava, Woods' caddie,] as I am. We know it’s going to be fun. There’s going to be a lot of people watching. It’s a big stage. And that’s what he likes. The one thing that has always impressed me about him is how comfortable he seems when there is a lot going on.”

So imagine just how big that stage was for Skip McGee. He’s an executive with Barclays from Houston and was Mickelson’s amateur partner for the tournament.

Try it: Ping G20 Driver

unquestionably, PING is considered a pioneering force in golf-equipment design. In the case of the Ping G20 driver, we found that like Ping’s earlier game-improvement driver, the G15, the G20 is primed for extreme distance and forgiveness.

Ping’s G20 driver made its public debut last week at the PGA Tour’s FedEx St. Jude Classic. (The club will be available at retail in mid-August.) Three pros—defending champ Lee Westwood, Kirk Triplett and D.J. Brigman—added it to their arsenal for Thursday’s first round. Expect to see more G20 drivers on Tour throughout the summer.

Using an external weight system, the G20 produces a high ballflight—so high that even we were surprised with the height the ball soared. Nevertheless, that’s not a bad thing, since the driver also produces a relatively low spin rate (which frankly, is contingent on how one swings the club). Shots hit on the toe and heel favored well, with minimal loss of distance and control.

The G20 driver has a heavier head than G15 (7 grams more than standard) for greater force at impact. Additional backweighting and a more elongated face shore up misses. (Ping “shaved” the head in the low toe area to meet the 460cc size limit.) The reconfigured clubhead — 5 percent higher moment of inertia on heel or toe hits — combines with a light, 45.75-inch “high-balance point” shaft (TFC 169D or TFC 169D Tour) to boost clubhead speed and, thus, distance. Specifically, the TFC 169D shaft has more flexible tip and butt sections for softer feel.

Despite the new G20 being long and straight, we actually found the club to present itself as a viable anti-slice driver, since most of our drives produced a high, right-to-left trajectory. In other words, we couldn’t slice it, which also meant we struggled to “work” the golf ball and hit fades or even lower tee shots.

In conclusion, this Ping G20 is a great driver, especially for golfers who want moderate swing speeds. It is the most forgiving and longest driver PING has ever made.

PGA Merchandise Show – The Exhibition

While day one of the PGA Merchandise Show is all about hitting clubs at the demo day, days two and three are about the major manufacturers showing off by seeing who can make the most noise and essentially seeing who has the biggest stand.

Once the manic nature of the opening exhibition day dies down, you get more of a chance to see something other than metal on the second day. Chief among the new launches is some new laser rangefinders coming from Bushnell which feature greater clarity and a much more visible targeting system.

The rest of the distance measuring device industry also got in on the act with GolfBuddy announcing two new devices – an update to their World Platinum and the Voice, a small clip-on GPS system with sound notification so you don’t even have to look at the screen.

SkyCaddie have announced an update to the SGX with the SGXw – a system with built-in WiFi to make updates easier while the Garmin G6 Approach already looks an improvement on their previous version.

The good news for GoreTex lovers is that Sunice also have a new range of waterproofs hitting the UK and they’re also bringing with it a stylish apparel range, which impressed. Druh Belts are also getting in on the act with a new apparel range hoping to capitalise on the success they’ve had on the waists of Lee Westwood, Thomas Bjorn and Robert Karlsson among many others.

More celebrity appearances included LPGA star Natalie Gulbis for Winn Grips and Tiger Woods’ former coach Hank Haney for his new line of Crocs golf shoes, although these won’t be available in the UK for the moment.

The final day of TG’s Orlando adventure included an appearance at the Cleveland/Srixon media day. The brand have recently launched a host of new product including the 588 Forged wedge and the Classic Driver and the media day at Shingle Creek GC allowed journalists to test product out on the course for the first time.

2012 TaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ irons and RBZ Fairway Woods

On 2012, after releasing a new driver–TaylorMade RBZ Driver. TaylorMade continue to launch RBZ irons and RBZ Fairway Woods. The RBZ stands for RocketBallz which is the possible new name for their new line of drivers and irons and maybe even golf balls too for 2012. TaylorMade has always been an innovator with their golf clubs and they are aiming to have a complete line of clubs just for the sake of adding distance.

This could be what the RocketBallz line is for and this will be trouble for the other brands who’s main weapon in attracting customers is distance. A lot of people will surely be testing this product out once it will be released because something that is made by TaylorMade needs to be tested because of the quality that goes with the name of the product.

The RBZ set of TaylorMade is said to be made for the mid to high-handicap golfers who want more distance and forgiveness so that they can hit it farther and still keep their ball in play. The golfers within this range are unable to hit it far enough to carry that certain ravine which will force them to lay up. Hopefully with the RBZ, the significant increase in distance will allow these golfers to hit their ball past the trouble and hazards that they used to avoid. There are two rumored driver designs for the TaylorMade RBZ driver and one of them has a deep face while the other driver has an elongated shape. It is not clear yet as to how these shapes are designed to affect the club performance but one thing that is for sure is that both clubs will be easy to hit.

“We’ve worked extensively to advance fast-faced iron performance, and feel like we’re well ahead of our competitors in this category,” said Bret Wahl, TaylorMade senior director of iron, wedge and putter research and development. “We’ve learned that high COR is most useful when on top of high speed you can also control the face-flexion to send the ball on an accurate flight-line. With that in mind, we’re very pleased with what we’ve achieved with the RocketBallz iron.”

The TaylorMade RocketBallz RBZ fairway wood has been developed specifically to help increase ball speed. The slightly deeper face and a COG that is further forward than traditional fairway woods gives you a more efficient, higher launch angle with less spin for even more distance. The incorporation of deeper face, low-and-forward CG and RocketBallz technology has allowed TaylorMade to create the first steel fairway wood that reaches USGA/R&A speed limits.

I love the looks of these with the green accents! A fantastic price point as well. I want to see what kind of distance these things have!
